Steve gets infected by a parasite. He can't control his own strength anymore, and becomes increasingly aggressive. Will Tony figure it out before it's too late?

1610: Tony turns to dark magic users to try to get rid of his tumour. It has devastating consequences.

Here's a little preview. I'll try to finish the rest later this month:
“Choose,” the armor said, its voice as static-filled as Iron Man’s, its cadence all wrong. Tony stared at it, at the red and gold that used to be his sanctuary, his calling, his way to live a life worth living, his way of making the world a better place. He stared at it, like his gaze could turn it back to what it used to be, like his will could stop it and turn it to stone. Usually, Tony was glad he wasn’t Medusa, but today he’d give his eyesight up if it could do something about the way Steve slumped, bloody, arm wrenched out of its socket with him dangling from it, held up by the armor’s strength.
“Water or fire,” the armor intoned, in that exact same voice that had told him it loved him, and Steve started to breathe faster, to shake slightly, and Tony knew that if he’d never made that tranquilizer, Steve would be fighting back, would have already defeated this thing.
“Okay,” Tony rasped, now that he understood. “Okay, I’ll do it. Please, just stop. I’ll do it. Just leave him alone."
